Make Your Life Your Own

Happy November!

It's crazy to think that there's less than 2 months left of the year. With Thanksgiving right around the corner it's natural to start thinking about everything that's happened over the past 10 months and what you're grateful for. Sooo my question to you is, what ARE you thankful for? What has occured this year that instills a gratitude attitude within yourself?

Is it graduation? Is it getting a new job? Is it moving to your favorite place? What about getting to spend time with your friends? Making amends and laughing with family? Or following your childhood dreams no matter what the risk?

There's so much that happens, good AND bad, that we should be aware of because all of the little stuff (and big stuff don't get me wrong) leads us to where we are right now. In this moment. This moment of reading this sentence.

SO MUCH has lead up to this tiny, minute moment that I bet you never even thought of it. But how'd you get here? To this webpage? Seeing as how I'm not a super successful blogger (yet) you probably either a.) are one of my friends or family members and want to support what I do (and TRUST ME I THANK YOU SO MUCH!) or b.) have heard my name SOMEWHERE or had this post retweeted/shared across social media.

Whether you know it or not, you have created this certain idea of what this post is about, or you have created an idea on what I am about personally. But I challenge you to think of WHAT those little things are. To realize that there's a reason that you are here, right now, reading this page.

The little moments in life, help us to perform habits, those habits we build, help us to make really big life decisions. This is a concept that I hope no one forgets--the little things you do and say will make up what your life becomes. Which is really important because, like, WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO BECOME?!

It truly is a loaded question.

And it's one I know most people (at least my age) like to put off for the sole reason, that we simply don't know yet. There's so much to do, so much to see, so much to learn, which is exactly why I hope more ask it to themselves.

Create a life, and KEEP creating a life you're proud of. Live like that there wasn't this stupid imaginary timeline society has created. What you want out of life and what you want it to look will CONSTANTLY change and that's okay. The lessons you learn, the people you meet, those little moments that help lead up to the big ones will guide you in the direction of your choosing--if you let them.

It's important to keep in mind that their isn't a path you're bound to follow. Whatever choices you make should be for you because this is YOUR LIFE. The Universe isn't waiting in the corner, waiting until you mess up. God isn't ever giving up on you either. Whatever choices you make, big or small, the Universe will work around. It literally HAS to go around your decisions and guess what? That's how your life becomes your own.

It's the time of year to be thankful. To love your friends and family a little extra and to share a few more hugs than normal, but when you're looking at what you're grateful for, try to think about what brought you to be grateful for those special things. What little details brought you to the present moment? What small actions bring you happiness? Recognize those, and incorporate them more into your daily life. I promise you'll see a major change.
