The Ultimate Fall To-Do List
Updated: Jan 25
The weather seems to be taking its time bringing in the autumn weather. BUT that has not stopped me from decorating our home! Okay, to be honest, it's been decorated for fall since the middle of August...
I've also been rounding up the recipes I'm dying to try as well as writing all of the lists to fully experience the most beautiful season of the year. With a trip to a cabin in the mountains already under Mark and I's belt, I'm ready for what the rest of the autumn has to offer. Here is the Ultimate Fall Checklist everyone should follow this season!
The Ultimate Fall Checklist:
Decorate your home - even if it's just by adding a couple of fall candles
Light your favorite fall candles
Stock up on sweaters
Find that perfect coat to get you through the colder months ahead
Visit a pumpkin patch
Rent a cabin in the woods
Bake some pumpkin seeds for the perfect, healthy snack
Bring out your inner child by raking up leaves and running/jumping in them
Go apple picking
Bake a pie with the apples you picked
Try adding pumpkin puree or pumpkin spices to different foods and drinks
Watch your favorite scary movies - some of my personal favorites include:
The Skeleton Key
The Silence of the Lambs
The Sixth Sense
Take your workouts and runs outside - take full advantage of the great temperature
Pick up some pinecones and throw them into a bowl for a natural scent and cute decor
Take a hike and enjoy the changing colors
Enjoy football season to the fullest through tailgating and football parties
Buy seasonal foods at the farmers market
Make a hot cider - add alcohol as you see fit ;)
Host a Friendsgiving
Bake pumpkin bread
Build a bonfire for you and your friends - roast wieners and marshmallows just like in the good ole' days
Enjoy one day, one moment, one breath at a time
The fall season is always a trade and true favorite but it never seems to be long enough. So just like every other day in your life, enjoy the present. Make your life your own. Breathe in the fresh air. Learn to love the season you're in currently - even if it's not your favorite, you are being positioned to excel in the next. You may be learning lessons you never you knew you needed!
