Tips For the Rest of the Week

Updated: Jan 25

It's Monday night, another week has just begun and I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted! I know I'm not alone when I say I could use an extra day to catch up on everything, including sleep! It seems like Labor Day weekend is so far away but I'm here to help you rock the rest of your week.

  • Remember it is only Monday! You have an entire week to set and crush your goals. So what will you accomplish?

  • Tryyyy and continue the week out with a positive attitude. We all have bad weeks, bad days, bad moments, but take a look at those tough times are teaching you. Learn from them and get back to enjoying your life.

  • Take a walk or two or ten. Put the phone down, stop staring at a screen and take 20 minutes to just be in nature. I promise your soul will thank you.

  • Create a mantra and repeat it, even if it may sound dumb. It's not dumb, you're constantly reminding yourself of your goals and what you want your attitude to be. Mantras can be complex or they can be as simple as "I'm loving myself today."

  • Don't forget to breathe! Again, take a step away from a screen and just take five deep breaths. You may be surprised at how much better it makes you feel!

  • Rest. Rest. REST! We all know that we are go, go, go constantly. But take the time to watch Netflix, read a chapter in your book, or catch up with your significant other. We all need different kinds of "rest" and it's not always sleep - although sleeping is great too!

  • Check-in with yourself. What do you need? What is your body craving? This could be anything from adventure to naps, to healthy foods (or even not-so-healthy!) everyone craves things at different times. Take some time to see what you need and follow through on it!

  • Remember to count your blessings. Life is so good, and yet, we often overlook all of the beautiful days because of the bad minutes. Be grateful for where you are in your journey - you won't be there much longer!

As we get older, life becomes more and more heavy. We find ourselves in jobs that aren't our passion, fake friends, distant memories, and so much more. However, we can change this. Follow your passions, surround yourself with people who truly care about you, keep in mind that memories are always better than they were. You can make one. single. decision. today and completely change your life. So what are you waiting for? Enjoy this week and all of the others!
